Welcome from the Headteacher
Welcome from the Headteacher
Welcome to Harbour Primary & Nursery School
As Head Teacher of Harbour, I am incredibly proud to lead a school where children are truly at the heart of everything we do. Our vibrant community of dedicated staff, supportive governors, and engaged parents work together with one shared goal: to ensure every child feels happy, valued, and inspired to achieve their very best. We have high expectations of each other and support each other to meet them.
At Harbour, we believe that education is about more than just academics – it’s about nurturing kind, curious, resilient individuals who are ready to take on the world. Our values of kindness, honesty, respect, resilience, and curiosity are not just words on a wall – they are lived every day by our children and staff alike.
We offer a warm, welcoming environment where relationships are built on mutual respect and every child is encouraged to explore their interests, ask questions, and grow both personally and academically. Our inclusive and exciting curriculum is designed to spark enthusiasm and a lifelong love of learning.
Reading is at the heart of our school. From the very first day, we teach children not just how to read, but how to love reading. It’s a passion we share with our families, and we ask all parents to join us in making reading a daily joy. Alongside this, we deliver high-quality teaching in writing and mathematics, ensuring children are confident and well-prepared for each stage of their learning journey.
We are proud of our ‘Ready, Respectful, Safe’ ethos, which helps children develop strong relationships and a deep sense of responsibility for themselves and others.
If you’re looking for a school where your child will be supported, challenged, and celebrated – Harbour is the place. I warmly invite you to visit us and see for yourself the energy, joy, and success that fills our classrooms every day.
Please contact our office to arrange a visit – I would be delighted to show you around our wonderful school.
